Urban Calm started with Tara Duncan's love of coffee and one exceptional cup from Huila, Colombia. That cup pulled her deeper into specialty coffee, women-led farms and the people behind the beans.
Years later, perimenopause changed how Tara thought about the routines she relied on every day. Coffee was already one of them.
That curiosity led her to research Lion's Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps and Chaga and experiment with ways to pair them with the coffee she already loved.
That question became Urban Calm's mushroom coffee. Specialty Colombian coffee still comes first, paired with fruiting body mushroom extracts and a sourcing story rooted in women supporting women at different stages of life. The goal was never to make coffee feel medicinal. It was to make a familiar daily moment more intentional.
